Comment: I think we should have a national sales tax, rather than income tax. That
way the huge number of people who elude taxes by being paid under the table
(in cash) or by bartering services would finally have to contribute, too.
In the local Home Depot, you always see construction "professionals" trading
services on each others' homes and rental houses. They then declare a
business loss, and not only avoid taxes, but profit from the barter. A
sales tax would also result in more fair taxation to corporations, illegal
immigrants and just normal working class Americans alike. Those who use
more, pay more. Thanks for listening.
