Subject: Income Tax Reform Comment: I believe our current system of income tax is both unfair and broken beyond repair. It is way too complex and too full of loopholes. I think the best solution to the problem is to abandon the present system and replace it with a consumption tax. Among the proposals that I am familiar with the FairTax system Mr. Linder has proposed is the best thing for individuals, businesses, the economy, and the entire country both rich and poor. My faith in politics and the government would be greatly restored if the FairTax were implemented and Amendment 16 abolished along with the present Income Tax structure. Sincerly Brian Haskin |
