Subject: benefits tax

Comment: Every year more and more employers are dropping their employer provided health insurance coverage because of the costs. A tax will only push more employers down that road. This will only make more working people uninsured at a time that the ecomomy can't take that. Every year we get to listen to our CEO talk about how our biggest expense was the companies health care and that it has cut our profits.

It's time employers got out of the health insurance business. This tax will probably start a big movement. I hope the administration is prepared for the consequences.

Speaking personally, as a Benefits professional, my own wage increases last year did not cover my increased cost of living this year. The result is that I cut my retirement savings to make ends meet. The cost of living that was just announced is more than the maximum I can expect from my employer for the coming year (I am privy to that information). A tax on my health benefits would push me to not save in the coming year.
