Subject: Tax Reform Comment: The press reports I am seeing are very disturbing in that The Panel is failing to recommend truely impactful reform. Our current tax structure is an obscenity: it 1) is far to complex to be grasped by the vast majority of citizens, 2)penalizes productivity, and 3)only serves as a jobs program for CPAs, tax lawyers and IRS functionaries and bureaucrats. It is the antithesis of a common sense, transparent regime and could not possibly be farther from what the Founding Fathers had in mind. I support H.R. 25 (the Fair Tax Act) and am encouraging my elected officials to do the same. |
