Subject: Mortgage Tax Reform

Comment: Aloha,

My wife and I reside in Hawaii and after 16 years of marriage we were finally able to buy a home for our family of 5. The only way we can afford the very high mortgage payments for very expensive housed in Hawaii is through the deduction we get on our payments toward interest. Please leave the laws the way they are or you will find many people in Hawaii having to sell their homes or even default on their loans. There are many success stories here in the islands involving the lower and middle class finally being able to buy a home without leaving their homestate of Hawaii.
Please don't ruin a positive thing.

Mahalo,

David Patterson
