Subject: Pro consumption/sales tax Comment: I am in favor of a consumption/sales tax to replace the Federal income and payroll taxes. 1. The taxing of a persons labor is akin to slavery and therefore is bad in principle. In our history it was a common practice for the slave owner to receive a "cut" from the outside earnings of a skilled slave. 2. A consumption/sales tax would be more efficient and less confusing. 3. A consumption/sales tax would be fairer. |
