Comment: I support and would like for the committee to consider the Fair Tax proposal that Rep. John Lender has proposed, H.R. 25. He is publishing a book that should soon be available on the subject. I urge you to get a copy and read it before you make up your mind on the subject. I am just an average lower middle class working citizen, but I have come to the conclusion that the Fair Tax has so many benefits, particularly encouraging foreign investment in this country, that we could more than pay for the Social Security deficit if you will really, truly study the proposal and support an honest debate on it.
