Subject: FairTax and Other Proposals Comment: My biggest fear regarding any reform is that it will be subject to the same tinkering that currently occurs. The FairTax (HR25 and S25) is by far the fairest, simplest and most easily understood common sense approach that is available, but if it is subjected to the same special interest meddling that the current tax code suffers, we will wind up with a similar mess. We must make the tax law much more difficult to change if we are to make any real progress. |
