Subject: HR 25 & S 25 The FAIRTAX Comment: Many people in America today do not pay their fair share of taxes to support the Federal Government. Most of the tax burden falls on the middle income earners, those who make too much money to qualify for a full income tax refund and make too little to qualify for sheltering their income through "loop holes" in the tax code. The only answer for every person in America to share the burden of supporting the Federal Government, through taxes, is for everyone in America to pay. The best way to pay a tax is at the consumption level, where people take out their wallets to pay for something. The FAIRTAX will provide a means for everyone in America to support the Federal Government's need for revenue to continue its operations. It is time for everyone in America to shoulder the burden of Government by a simple consumption tax that will end class division in America forever. HR 25 and S 25 will provide for a FAIRTAX to apply to everyone in America including foriegn tourists and those illegally in this country. One uncomplicated system that applies to all, rich, poor, or middle, is the only FAIR system that I support. The present tax code must be replaced by the FAIRTAX in order that every person in America pay their FAIR share. |
