Subject: Fair taxes Comment: The income tax for businesses and individuals that is progressively based is the only option that is fair for everyone. Most current deductions including home interest, state taxes, and charitable gift giving, as well as personal and family exemptions must be included. The best thing that the government tax reform can do is have less reliance on pay roll taxes and more reliance on income taxes that are based on wealth. The idea of a flat tax or an income tax is probably the most sick and vile idea that I have ever heard of. This tax idea will punish those already treading water while allowing those most able to pay the bill a greater share of the nation's wealth. I hope the president and his commission will reject the attempts of the extreme far right from hijacking 200 years a successful tax code and the greatest economy the world has ever seen. Why anyone would tinker with this success and record is beyond my understanding. JUST DON'T DO IT OR YOU'LL ALL BE BACK ON THE RANCH. |
