Subject: Reduction of homeowner tax breaks Comment: I have been reading that your Panel is looking to significantly reduce the tax benefit for home owners. This would negatively affect my finances in such a way, that I would consider becoming a renter again. I am a 38 year old, sales professional who was finally able to purchase a condo in Los Angeles this year...I would have never made the leap into home ownership if I'd known my future tax breaks would be cut in half. I make a healthy living, but I have lived in California for so long, that its taken me alot of time to even come close to accumulating a deposit for a house and a 3- 6 month savings cushion to get me by in case of emergency. Please re-consider your direction on this matter...you are severely hurting those of us who desire to spend our disposable income but never can because we're always covering for another liability like this one will be. |
