Subject: DENYING THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE... Comment: Your panel, from what I've read and heard, has decided to ignore the will of the people and the FairTax which is supported by so many. The tax system we have is a paperwork and complexity nightmare, and drags down our nation's ability to compete and survive. The FairTax offered a way to punish or discourage imported goods and at the same time reduce the tax punishment on those companies and people producing goods here. It amazes me that your panel can't see the utter stupidity of taxing jobs. We are living (perilously) with the result, and with the ability to do nothing positive, as shown by this panel, I see no hope for this country's future. Just another collosal Bush administration failure to accomplish anything positive at all. Such a shame. |
