Subject: National Sales Tax Comment: A national sales tax would be the most fair way to fund the government. It would affect all equally. It would tax the underground economy as well as the working person. It would eliminate the huge IRS payroll and the need for many CPA's and attorneys. It would eliminate the need for much of the record keeping by business' and farmers. The above eliminated cost would drop the price of goods and services helping to offset the tax. It would also increase personal saving. I believe, if implemented, you would see a period of transition followed by an economic boom. |
