Subject: letter to Mr Mack Comment: Mr Mack, I read an article that said that you were intrigued by The Fair Tax plan but wondered “...if it’s such a great idea, why haven’t other political entities around the world pursued it?” I would argue that the answer to that question is: because The Fair Tax plan is a good idea for citizens and a bad idea for politicians! The Fair Tax plan makes taxes visible. A visible tax base would reign in the federal bureaucracy and help hold politicians accountable to the people. The Fair Tax would decrease the lobbyists and special interests' hold on our politicians. Give our government back to the people: get rid of the IRS and implement The Fair Tax. Cindy Donnelly |
