Subject: tax on health benefits

Comment: Placing a tax on health benefits or removing the deductibility of these benefits would have the opposite effect of what I believe the Administration and Congress want, to increase health care coverage. At a time when health care increases have been increasing faster than inflation and the ability of many employers to pay, taxing this benefit would end the coverage provided by many employers. The company I am employed with could not afford to provide health insurance if either it was taxed or the cost was not deductible. There is not enough profit in the trucking industry to absorb this. Please reconsider this position.
