Subject: FairTax is the Best Plan Comment: The FairTax is the only proposed system of Federal taxation that eliminates taxes for those below the poverty level. Because of its simplicity and transparency, it will make corruption and the debilitating effects of special interest lobbying a lot less of a problem in Washington, D.C. It will greatly strengthen our country’s economy and eliminate the hundreds of billions of dollars that we as a nation lose every year to wasteful compliance costs and tax evasion (which studies have shown is more due to error than to purposeful tax avoidance). This country needs to be delivered from the IRS and its crippling effects on our economy. Please don't continue to burden us with an income tax. |
