Subject: Tax on health insurance to employee

Comment: This proposed tax would drastically hurt the low paid employee who may barely afford health insurance at todays high premiums. Now a tax on top of that. Also, this would wipe out any advantage to Section 125 plans. If this is done, then what will happen to the employer's deduction?
This will only increase the number of uninsured's in the country. And hurt the delivery system. If you want to tax, why not tax all about 2% or 3%, do away with all employer health plans, take age "65" out of Medicare and put all in the medicare plan. To keep insurance companies in business, select companies to administer the plans on a regional basis. This is a win win for all. All citizens get universal healthcare, insurance companies stay in business and Medicare is solvent because of the the age spread. Not all 65+ participants.

Thanks,
