Subject: Fair Tax Comment: In my opinion, the report this panel has developed in response to the President's executive order is completely inadequate. Why reasonable men and women cannot understand the socialistic origins of a "progressive" income tax is a mystery to me as it was first proposed as doctrine by Karl Marx! Secondly, why this panel has not considered the very sound idea of the "Flat Tax" as proposed by Congressman Linder, I believe is irresponsible! Tax egalitarianism should be the objective. The billions of dollars required to administer our current out-dated and punitive tax code could be used for many other important purposes by our govenment. I am disappointed and frustrated by our "business as usual" approach to one of the most unfair and oppressive policies of our government that is, I strongly believe, unjustifiable! |
