Subject: HR 25..."Fair Tax" Comment: Senators Mack & Breaux, et al... I will only need two paragraphs for my commentary: I support the "Fair Tax" proposal. It addresses all of the President's concerns, is revenue neutral as well as progressive, and strikes an important blow for freedom -- it gets rid of the income tax and the Internal revenue service. As for your question, Senator Mack, as to why, if it's such a great idea, no one else has tried it. Since when has America...which came into existence as a great NEW experiment... become so timid and unimaginative that it cannot dare to reach beyond the tired and mundane for new answers and bold new initiatives?
