Subject: Tax on health benefits

Comment: I have a paricularly lousy health plan from my employer. I already pay a very large percentage of my coverage and all of my spouses coverage. My plan only pays 60% of the charge when out of network, which is quite often, since more and more physicians are not accepting insurance.

I am sensitive to the AMT issue, since I get hit with that every year. Between the Federal taxes I pay and New Jersey Property Taxes and Income Taxes, I feel like I would be better off not working and joining the welfare group.

I'm not really serious, but taxing health benefits is just another burden on the taxpayer.

Why not increase Income taxes on those earning over one million dollars, and then index it for inflation. Actually if the AMT was indexed that would solve the problem as well. I believe the AMT problem arose because it was never indexed.

How about a National Sales tax on luxury items?

Please do something. I feel like I am working for nothing after I pay my taxes.

Thanks for listening.
