Subject: FairTax is only satisfactory reponse Comment: Dear Sirs: The only change to the tax code that will satisfy me is the FairTax proposal (http://www.fairtax.org/). It is the only idea which will eliminate the complexity of the tax code, encourage sound economic habits, close special interest loopholes, tax the underground cash economy, and more. A flat tax is not acceptable but it would be an improvement over what we have. A VAT is absolutely the worst idea that could be considered.
