Subject: Consumption-based tax

Comment: In the two years since I was first exposed to the concept of a national sales tax (to replace income and payroll taxes), I have tried to find holes in such a plan. Frankly, I cannot.

I therefore urge the Panel to fully consider recommending a such a plan to the President.

Now is not the time for timid tweaking of a tax system completely out of control. It's time to burn what we've got and move to a completely new apporach to funding the federal government...a consumption-based tax.

Best wishes for success in your challenging task.
