Comment: As POGO said, "We have met the enemy and it is us." After constructing an incomprehensible tax law, congress must replace this law with a simplified tax structure without "loopholes." The FairTax by Boortz and Linder meets all aspects of a simplified tax code. While fixing the tax codes, it also resolves certain aspects of funding Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. Congress must pass the FairTax sooner rather than later and then move on to curtailing the spending side of the government. See GAO report 05-325SP. Respectfully, Tom Schroeder
