Subject: Tax Reform Comment: The panel's rejection of a national sales tax is beyond disappointing. The concerns raised about high tax rates and rampant tax evasion reveal a lack of basic analysis. I must wonder if the panel is just another big government baised group providing cover for preserving the current system. Obviously no one on the panel has read the recently released The FairTax Book. The panel must honestly address at length and in depth the issues dealt with by this book. Otherwise, the panel is just another baised committee with a typical bigger government agenda. |
