Subject: Understanding the Law Comment: No matter what you end up recommending, it is your duty to all taxpayers to ensure the law is written in such a manner that a person with average intelligence can understand it. 26 USC and 26 CFR are an abomination. If lawyers have a hard time understanding that mess, I have serious doubts as to whether a person of average intelligence is able to clearly understand what the law requires and does not require of him/her. So, stop trying to impress us with your writing skills. All you've done is make it impossible at worst, or extremely difficult at best to know if we are following the law. |
