Subject: FairTax

Comment: In my opinion, the best reform would be the FairTax. I'm not one to badmouth the IRS, knowing it to be staffed with well-meaning, overworked and underpaid public servants. But what chance do they have trying to administer 60,000 pages of regulations?

The FairTax concept is not a new idea. But it is almost breathtakingly simply. Think National Sales Tax. If you have not already called Prof. Lawrence Kotlikoff of Boston University to give testimony before your panel, please, please do so ASAP. He is probably the foremost expert on the FairTax concept, having run extensive computer models on everything from the effects on personal savings, international trade, and servicing the national debt.
