Subject: Fair Tax Bill Comment: I support the Fair Tax Bill/Referendum. The income tax has become exceedingly unwieldy. The tax loopwholes, deductions, credits, etc have led to huge tax breaks, inconsistencies and have become an integral part of the fabric of income redistribution. One of the reasons that I, as a former small business owner, closed my businesses was the amount of time that I was spending completing government payroll documents for all levels of the government; meeting with tax attorneys, bookkeepers and CPA's and government auditors...all to ensure that I was in compliance. I never had to pay the government an additional penny. However the cost to my business, both in time and money was a huge drain. A simpler method is essential. |
