Subject: Bold tax reform-not just raise the taxes on the rich.. Comment: Lobbyist and politicians manipulate the federal tax code for profit and votes, and I think this panel is ignoring that reality and is substituting politics for strong action on real tax reform. The commission is charged by the President with real tax reform, but it is clear that they are just working around the edges of the current system. The "fair tax" (HR 25) needs to be looked into as real tax reform!! It is clear that none of the panel completely understands the "fair tax" so they should at least have someone come in to explain the "fair tax" to them or they can just read the book!! |
