Subject: proposed tax on employee health coverage

Comment: Such a tax will further increase the number of uninsured employees and their families. Many can't afford the copays for health services and prescriptions let alone pay another tax. The average employee is faced with increasing healthcare contributions as a result of higher cost sharing with their employer and reduced benefit levels defined by the insurance companies to maintain or increase their profit margins, escalating gasoline costs to get to work and 50 to 75% increases in home heating costs. Where is the average employee supposed to get the money to pay all of these additional costs while trying to avoid welfare? Mr. Bush and his administration have destroyed our economy. The GAO reports continuous excess charges from Halburton - have Chenney collect them and pass them onto the middle class! Leave healthcare alone - Bush and Company have taken everything else away from the middle class!
