Subject: tax structure and federal vs state

Comment: 1. - There are people who can't get a GED, how can you expect them to fill out tax forms?? I have a math degree and I still have to spend days figuring out when to use alternative calculations etc throughout the forms.
2. - For those who are worried about all the IRS employees that will be put out of business - they are sophisticated fact checkers, give them something useful to check like the status of child abusers and persons in the US on visa's and the like. They are a perfect match to track and monitor things that really matter instead of if I can add and subtract correctly through 9 forms.
3. - How is it that I can bet $2000 back on my federal return and have to pay $1000 on my state return?? Something is out of whack!
4. - If done correctly, a combination wage and usage tax should be enough to meet budgetary needs as well as to streamline the system so that there is no/little need for paperwork. And at the same time we would save billions in IRS budget and personal financial spending to hire accountants and attorneys to cover our butts.
