Comment: Having just suffered through another agonizing year filing the increasingly complex 1040 I urge tax simplification in the form of a VAT or natioanl sales tax. Please find a replacement for this overly complex tax code. The goal should be to save individuals from the grief of filing an income tax return and just collect the taxes on purchases.
