Subject: Support of Alternative Taxing option Comment: Dear Chairman Mack: I write this note as a supporter of the FairTax option currently being considered under S.25/H.R.25. I appreciate the hard work you and members of your committee are doing on behalf of the President and the American People. However, after viewing your hearings on C-Span last week, I see nothing more than a continued "tweaking" of the current tax code and an INCREASE in current taxes by lowering the Housing interest deduction and the taxing of Health Benefits both of which would be unnecessary with the proposals of S.25/H.R.25. The action of your committee requires BOLD action, not not adjustment to an already convoluted taxing system. Thank you for considering my point of view. |
