Subject: Replacement Tax Comment: Please consider HR 25. Also know as the FairTax All Taxes, except sales tax, make our products cost more incomparison to imported products. This is true because all taxes, except sales tax, are imbedded/hidden within the cost of the product before it is put on the shelf. Therefore All Taxes, except sales tax, are, in essence, a tariff on domestic production. Why are we forcing Americans to take their businesses off shore just to escape these tariffs? A banker friend from the caribbean once told me that America is a fine place to do business; as long as you are not an American. |
