This office's current investigation into events in Puerto Rico is still in its preliminary stages. We have talked to a number of people throughout the Island who may have had some knowledge about the events under investigation. We have reached no conclusions concerning whether any violations of federal law have occurred. Governor Rossello was one of a number of witnesses we interviewed. He is not now, and has not been, a target of our investigation.
