MS. HENDRIX: My name is Danae Hendrix. I began working at Hollywood Park Casino in Englewood, California in July of 1994. Working as a bartender at a union casino offered better wages and job security, making my finances stable, making dreams come true, establishing a positive credit history, enabling me to purchase my own home, pay property taxes, making dreams come true. Flying off to Paris for a vacation was a dream come true. All in all these establishment equal self-preservation to thousands of us.
