West Virginia State Drought Programs Program Title: Emergency Services Function: Mitigation, Response, Monitoring and Prediction, Communication Program Assistance or Functional Assistance: In view of the occurrence of disaster, man-made or natural, the preparation of this State will be adequate to deal with such disasters. Statute or Authority: West Virginia Code, Chapter 15, Article 5 Agencies (primary agency listed first): West Virginia Office of Emergency Services (WVOES) Customers Served: The entire population of the state of West Virginia Triggering Event or Circumstance-How does this program relate to drought? Any imminent disaster or emergency Unmet Needs at federal, state, local and tribal levels. Includes changes from customer or "provider" perspective: If needs cannot be met by either state or federal assistance, private volunteer organizations will be utilized.
