Program Title: Safe Drinking Water Emergency

Function: Mitigation

Program Assistance or Functional Assistance: Permitting process that requires a drought response and plans for all appropriations. Additionally, water conservation plans are needed for appropriation where requested amount exceeds expected use rates. The Department may also prioritize existing permits to ensure that under water supply emergency conditions, needs for sanitation, drinking water, public health and safety are adequately met. Agricultural uses are second and all other uses follow.
