distributions made to
al aNbar province for area projects
Al Ramadi, Al Anbar. The Coalition
Provisional Authority South-Central today provided $570,500 (1.03 billion Iraqi
Dinars *) to repair 1141 schools in Al Anbar Province.
Repairing and improving these schools
creates a better learning environment for children and increases opportunities
for their futures as they learn in a free Iraq. CPA believes that a good
educational system is essential as Iraq progresses toward self-government.
Assisting the people in Al Anbar Province
is an important goal for the Coalition Provisional Authority. Since the
beginning of August, the Coalition Provisional Authority has also given $2.69
million (4.83 billion Iraqi Dinars *) to Al Anbar Province. Today’s money
brings that total to $3.26 million (5.86 billion Iraqi Dinars *).
The Al Anbar Province school projects will
employ local people from the community. It is part of a larger initiative to
help Iraqis as they move forward toward democracy. CPA South-Central will
announce other projects in the coming weeks.
$1 equal 1,800 Iraqi Dinars.
