distribution made to KIFL for area projects

Kifl, Babil.  The Coalition Provisional Authority South-Central today provided around $68,400 (123,120,000 Iraqi Dinars*) to fund repairs in Kifl. 

The money will be used to repair the Court House, Mayor’s Office, Police Department, Girls’ School, Child Care Center, and the Hospital.  All of these projects will employ local people from the community. 

Today’s money is only a first payment.  As work progresses, almost $77,000 (138,600,000 Iraqi Dinars*) more will be provided to finish these important projects.

 The money is part of a larger initiative to help Iraqis as they move forward toward self-government and democracy.  CPA South-Central will announce other projects in the coming weeks
