distributions made to BAbil province for area projects

Al Hilla, Babil.  The Coalition Provisional Authority South-Central today provided around $81,000 (129,600,000 Iraqi Dinars*).  The money will be used to refurbish two police stations, as well as to deconstruct bombed buildings.  The projects will employ people from the local community. 

The Babil Province funding is part of a larger initiative to help Iraqis as they move forward toward self-government and democracy.

* Assuming $1 equal 1,600 Iraqi Dinars.
