Friday, March 13 – Today Ambassador L. Paul Bremer named Michael P. Fleischer Director of Private Sector Development for the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA). As Director, Mr. Fleischer will lead a team focused on developing Iraq’s private sector economy and attracting private foreign investment.

Before his tenure at CPA, Mr. Fleischer took a leave of absence from Bogen Communications International, Inc., where he has been President and a member of the Board of Directors since 1997. Before becoming President of Bogen Communications International, Mr. Fleischer was President of Ekco/Glaco, Ltd., served as a member of the Board of Directors of Alliant Techsystems, Inc. and President of Active Management Group, Inc., a firm he co-founded in 1990, which turns around troubled companies, and provides leadership for firms facing other difficult transitions. Mr. Fleischer’s success as an entrepreneur, manager, and business leader in the international business community will be of enormous value to the CPA and to Iraq.
