The Amtrak Reform Council will release its Second Annual Report on Tuesday, March 20, 2001

Please be advised that the Amtrak Reform Council will release its Second Annual Report to Congress on Tuesday, March 20th during a Press Conference scheduled at 10:30 a.m. in the Ballroom at the Phoenix Park Hotel on 520 North Capitol Street, NW in Washington, D.C. The Press Conference will follow immediately a public Business Meeting of the Council, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the same location. The Second Annual Report will be available in printed form at the Press Conference. On the morning of March 20th, the Report will also be posted on the ARC website (www.amtrakreformcouncil.gov).

The agenda for the Business Meeting includes formal adoption of the Second Annual Report, election of officers, and discussion of the Council's coming 2001work program. The Press Conference agenda includes a statement from the Council's Chairman, Gilbert E. Carmichael, a briefing on the key features of the report, and statements by members of the Council. Following these statements, the Council will take questions from the press and the public. The agenda for the Business Meeting will be posted on the Council's website the week of March 12th.
