I'd like to nominate Peter S. Tasker to become a member of the FTC Advisory Committee on Online Access and Security. Mr. Tasker is the executive director of MITRE's Security and Information Operations Division. He has responsibility for the security of MITRE's unclassified networks and public websites, and he directs MITRE's Infosec technical center. Mr. Tasker is familiar with a wide range of commercial security products and has recently been involved with the "Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures" community effort to provide common names for computer vulnerabilities and risks. Mr. Tasker works for The MITRE Corporation, a private, non-profit corporation chartered in the public interest. MITRE supports sponsors in the FAA, the IRS, Treasury, and DoD. Mr. Tasker's organization provides security policy and engineering advice for these sponsors and provides recommendations on the selection and use of commercial security products.
