Secretary,
Federal Trade Commission
Room H-159
600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20580

Dear Secretary;

Citigroup would like to participate in the Advisory Committee on Online Access and Security.

Specifically, we would like to provide you with two nominations. However, because we only became aware of this committee within the last two days, we need some flexibility in checking calendars to ensure that the proposed candidate can meet your schedule.

The first nominee would be a senior technical person who has spent signicant time working on e-world solutions to privacy. This is likely to be Dan Schutzer who has participated in P3P development as well as in other privacy solutions. Dan has provided recent testimony to Congress on related topics. In the case that Dan will not be able to make the proposed dates, we will provide one of our experienced information security officers who focus entirely on e-commerce businesses.

The second nominee would be a senior privacy policy person. This is likely to either be myself, Steve Durkee, who has spent the last year working with Citigroup businesses around the world on privacy implementation or Jill Oliver, the privacy specialist in our Citigroup Information Security Office.

A fuller background on the candidate will be supplied later this week.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Stephen Durkee
